Learn the Art of Ikebana Design from Japan “giving life to flowers” through color, shape, line, form and minimalism. Hands on instruction in Design and Technique by Lee Long and Hideko Eda. In this workshop you will be introduced to the idea that the natural beauty of flowers can effectively convey feelings as well. You will see how Ikebana reflects the forces of nature with which plants live in harmony. Learn how to bend branches and flowers so they appear to be blown by the wind, or create a leaf that is half eaten by insects.
Price: $30 to participate (only 10 spaces available) $5 to observe
