PO+p 2020 Exhibit in Kingston | through October 12Presented by the O+ organization, the “walk-by” PO+p 2020 public art exhibition is on view in Uptown Kingston storefront windows now through October 12. The show allows the community the chance to experience art in an outdoor, socially distanced setting and offers potential buyers a way to connect with artists. Drive-Through Food Festival in Middletown | 9/24-10/4
Grab the car keys! The Orange County Drive-Through Food Festival is coming to the Orange County Fairgrounds in Middletown on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays from September 24 through October 4. Funnel cakes, fried Twinkies, sausage and pepper sandwiches, Philly cheese steaks, gyros, candy apples, popcorn, and other classic family fare will be served during the multi-vendor event. The “drive-thru” format will allow patrons to choose between dining areas, each of which focuses on a different “fair food” genre. Drivers will be provided with a map and a menu and taken on a set route through the grounds, where they are free to stop at any of the vendors that interest them. The event, which is free to attend, is for vehicles only and cannot accommodate walk-up customers due to its socially distanced nature. Thursdays and Fridays, gates will be open from 4pm to 9pm and on Saturdays and Sundays from 11:30am to 9pm.
“Songs for a New World” in Rhinebeck | 9/26-9/27
On September 26 and 27 at 7pm, the Rhinebeck Theater Society will present “Songs for a New World” on its new outdoor stage on the great lawn of the Center for Performing Arts at Rhinebeck. The four-person musical by Jason Robert Brown explores “themes of hope, ambition, and reflection through the lens of diverse American narratives,” with “evocative lyrics, tight harmonies, and compelling rhythms, this song cycle rejoices in our collective humanity.” Tickets are $20. Attendees should bring lawn chairs or blankets and their own refreshments.

Kane Brown Livestream in Glenmont, Warwick, and Coxsackie | 9/26
Tennessee-born country pop-crossover singer Kane Brown is working his way around the coronavirus conundrum by performing a special “Encore Drive-In Night” remote concert to be streamed at drive-in theaters on September 26. Three area sites will be participating: Jericho Drive-In in Glenmont (7:15pm), Hi-Way Drive-In in Coxsacakie (7:30pm), and Warwick Drive-In Theatre in Warwick (7:30 and 10:30pm). Tickets are $76 per car (up to six people), $176 per car (up to six people) for a special VIP package. Tickets and details are available online via Ticketmaster.
