Anthony Titus: "Ruptures and Reconciliations"

When: Sundays, 12-4 p.m. Continues through Oct. 24

Come visit Anthony Titus’s “Ruptures and Reconciliations” in the ‘T’ Space Gallery during our fall open hours: Sundays, 12-4pm through October 24, in Rhinebeck.

Anthony Titus created the works in “Ruptures and Reconciliations” in response to the poet Richard Wright’s Haiku:

A falling petal
Strikes one floating on a pond,
And they both sink.

Titus’s series of deconstructed paintings conflate surface and structure, a longstanding concern in architecture, allowing the paintings to break away from their frames in gravity-defying compositions.

Born in 1975 in Brooklyn, New York, Titus's practice explores the uniquely constructed spaces between architecture, painting, and sculpture.
