America and the Refugee Crisis

This panel discussion will focus on several facets of the current refugee crisis, including current U.S. policy, local and national resettlement efforts, and opportunities for individual and community involvement. Panelists include Bard College student and Syrian refugee Sana Mustafa, Vassar College professor and chair of history Maria Hohn, SUNY Empire State College assistant professor Jenny Mincin and DCC History professor Dr. Werner Steger. The discussion will be moderated by Dr. Andrew Rieser, Professor of History at Dutchess Community College.
