Add Some Cool to Your New Paltz Summer at Arrowood Outpost | Sponsored | Craft Beverage Industry | Hudson Valley | Chronogram Magazine
Down the stairs beside Barner Books on Church Street is a subterranean refuge with authentic stone walls—cool in the heat, cozy in the cold— that's guaranteed to feel like you’ve discovered a special hideout to make your own.

The Arrowood Outpost tasting room offers Arrowood Farm Brewery’s beers and local hard cider on tap, in bottles, and by the growler or bomber— including 500 milliliter bottles of their farmhouse ales focusing on locally-sourced grains and hops.

Hops and grain are meticulously brewed "from the ground up" into award-winning beers at Arrowood Farm Brewery's Accord location. Now, in the heart of New Paltz village, you can get a taste of that authentic, fun-loving and forward-thinking community at the Outpost—a showcase for local craft beverage and a great place to sample a flight of the very latest.

There’s outdoor seating on the deck, for those moments when you want some sky with your beverage. There are regular gatherings for networking, trivia, and other fun stuff, including a Sip-n-Paint event on Friday, August 2 (just $35 gets you the supplies for your painting and your first beer.) And, of course, it’s the ideal place to sit down with a glass and dive into the first chapter of that enticing tome you’ve just picked up from Barner’s.

New Paltz is justly famous for outstanding taverns. The Outpost is a farm brewery tasting room connected to an innovative brewery, and as such has a subtly different vibration: a laid-back next-level hideaway with a warm-hearted welcome and rustic flair. One Yelp reviewer even confessed to wanting to steal “all” the decor—so that's some high praise.

Stop in on Wednesday or Thursday between 4pm and 10pm, between 12 and 11pm on Friday and Saturday, or from 12-8pm on Sunday.
