A Poem: Color of Winter

by

midnight sky

about to spit more snow

blue along the ridgeline

where beyond meets before

what happens

happened

or surely will

scattered houses

lit by waning fires

or corpse-eyed

know that change

is a line so fine

it is not a line at all
