This Thanksgiving weekend, laugh out proud with three stand-up comics in Poughkeepsie on Saturday, November 25th. It’s a comedy show to support the Hudson Valley LGBTQ Community Center, which offers a safe, supportive environment for services, resources, and programs that unite the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer/questioning community across age, race, gender, and economics. The Laugh It Up! comedy event is a celebration, just like the Center is, itself.

Headliner Jessica Kirson brings a diverse energy to her award-winning routine with a wide variety of characters. She’s been featured on Comedy Central’s “Premium Blend” and “Fresh Faces,” NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,”and appeared on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “The Howard Stern Show.” Take a peek at her podcast, “The Jessica Kirson Podcast,” and her YouTube Channel “The Jessy K Show.”

Joining Kirson is Frank Liotti, who just completed filming a pilot for LOGO called “Everyone’s a Little Gay.” His sardonic wit and stream of consciousness style has won him a finalist position at every comedy festival he’s entered, to date. You may have seen him performing in episodes of Law and Order, or the mockumentary, “Cats Talk Back,” about life as a cast member within the Broadway hit, “Cats.”

The evening’s host is comedian Shawn Gillie–a regular at the Funny Bone and Comedy Works in Albany.
