It’s an obvious pun, but there’s no way around it: Woodstocker and Grammy-winning steel guitarist and dobro master Cindy Cashdollar, known for her time with Texas roots band Asleep at the Wheel, was injured last week when she was driving through Stone Ridge and fell—you got it—asleep at the wheel, crashing into a tree. Thankfully, from what information I can gather at this point via an article in the Daily Freeman, it seems her injuries were relatively minor (cuts, head and neck pain).

Raised in Woodstock, Cashdollar is perhaps best known as accompanist of Bob Dylan, Van Morrison, Leon Redbone, and Ryan Adams, and also played frequently with local Band giants Levon Helm and Rick Danko.

Here’s a taste of Cashdollar at the Towne Crier in Beacon last year:

All of us here at Chronogram wish Cindy Cashdollar a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her back on stage as soon as possible.
