When Independence Day fall on a Wednesday, there's lots to be thankful for—a five-day weekend for many and—holy freedom fries!—SO MANY FIREWORKS!
All over the Hudson Valley, the skies will be lit up over the next 8 days to celebrate the glorious and free America. Most festivities include live music and food. So pick your favorite town and stake out a spot for the starlit spectacle.

6-10pm. Join your friends, family, and neighbors as they spread out on the lawn with blankets, chairs, and food listening to great music followed by fireworks. Local folk singer Susan Wright will kick off the night with the Barbershop singers. The Mad Hatters will play at 7pm, followed at 7:30 pm by Kati Mac and Southeast Station. Germantown - 6/30

Brewster - 7/1
Beacon - 7/15pm. After nearly getting cancelled, Beacon's firework show is back ON! Head to the Memoral Park on Sunday evening for live music and food vendors. Fireworks start at 9pm. Memorial Park, Robert Cahill Drive, Beacon. If you'd rather be on the water for the fireworks head to the Beacon dock at 6pm and join Clearwater for a sunset sail on both 7/1 and 7/2.
Palenville - 7/2

Catskill - 7/3
6pm. Celebrate the 4th with a good old fashioned American BBQ with ice cream and lawn games, followed by fireworks at dusk. Scribner's Catskill Lodge.
Wappingers Falls 7/3 & 7/5

Bannerman Island - 7/3
7-10pm. The Bannerman Castle Trust's Tour Boat, the Estuary Steward, will depart for the island from the Beacon dock at 7:00pm. Get a full island tour, then reboard the boat to watch Newburgh's fireworks from the middle of the Hudson River. Beacon dock, Red Flynn Drive, Beacon.

Germantown - 7/4
2-10pm. Celebrate an Old-Fashioned Independence Day at Clermont Historic Site, with 18th century crafts, Re-enactors, music and entertainment. A great day for young families. Windham - 7/4The town of Windham will come alive of the 4th, with a sidewalk sale, food, music, and the annual sidewalk sale. For choice views of the night's fireworks, buy a lift ticket to Windham Mountain. Fireworks start at 9pm. Windham Mountain Resort, 19 Resort Drive, Windham.

Kingston - 7/4
The City of Kingston Fireworks Festival returns to the historic Rondout waterfront. LIve music at 5pm. Fireworks over the water at 9:30pm. Have a bite to eat, picnic on a boat, or bring a lawn chair. T.R. Gallo Waterfront Park, W. Strand Street, Kingston, NY 12401.
Poughkeepsie - 7/4
Head to the epic Walkway Over the Hudson for fireworks over the water at dusk. Tickets are $12.50 for the general public and $10 to Walkway members. Kids ages 10 and under are free but registration is required. Rain date: 7/5. Walkway Over the Hudson State Park and Waryas Park.

8-10pm. Celebrate July 4th the Caramoor way. During Pops, Patriots, and Fireworks, Caramoon will pay tribute to Leonard Bernstein alongside other grand symphonic works with the esteemed Westchester Symphonic Winds and two stellar alumni from Caramoor’s Schwab Vocal Rising Stars.
