Work:Shop comes back to Beacon just in time for holiday shopping December 10th and 11th. If you want quality gifts with a local connection, check out this weekend long event showcasing a handcrafted selection of artisanal wares from 20 vendors.
Find a gift for the foodie, fashionista, home entertainer, alcohol connoisseur, and accessory aficionado. Here’s a sampling of some of the booths that will be onsite. The full list of vendors are on the event's website.
Beacon Bee, an all-natural skincare and beeswax based producer, will be onsite with their Beacon Bee Balm and newly released Baby Balm, offering some TLC from the season’s blustery winds. For those looking for the perfect vessel to hold their wine or spirits, Beacon’s Ten Willow Studio will be selling their malfatti glassware. Each piece is intentionally “misshapen” and hand blown to uniqueness, and is made of laboratory grade borosilicate glass. Wickham Solid Wood Studio offer a variety of shapes, shades, and styles in their sleekly modern wooden furniture. Beacon boutique Gwenno James will sell silk-screen print scarves, perfect for a burst of color on a gray winter’s day. Don’t forget the fuzzy family friends either: Kitty Jones will be onsite selling their cute and quirky cat-friendly creations.
The Holiday Homespun cafe will be serving hot cocoa, cookies, and savory snacks throughout the day as well, perfect for a pairing with the Denning’s Point Distillery samples at Work:Shop. Voted Hudson Valley Magazine’s Best Distillery in the Hudson Valley in 2015 and 2016, Denning’s Point will also have a booth in addition to their tastings.
A raffle with wares from the vendors will also take place, benefitting the Beacon Arts & Education Foundation.
Saturday, December 10th, 10am-6pm and Sunday, December 11th, 11am-5pm. Wickham Solid Wood Studio, 578 Main Street, Beacon. Workshopwintermarket.com.
