Combining bluegrass with elements of gypsy jazz, folk punk, and hip-hop, the band—Stickley on “rapid-fire flatpicking” guitar, Lyndsey Pruett on violin, and Patrick Armitage on sparse drums—released their second album, Lost at Last, in October. The disc won loud praise from the likes of the New York Times’ Nate Chinen and Premier Guitar’s Jason Shadrick, who called the track “Darth Radar” a “rapid-fire take that moves from a serious ska beat to burning surf-style runs that would make Dick Dale proud.”
