Few Hudson Valley bands work it quite so hard as Lara Hope & the Ark-Tones. Not content to wear an ever-deepening rut around the same local loop, the Kingston-based outfit is on the road much of the year, bringing their snappy rockabilly cocktail to clubs and car shows around the country. But of course when winter sets in so do most bands, who opt to keep it close to home until the spring—who wants to risk breaking down in the cold and snow? Thus, Hope and crew will be rocking it right in their back yard at the Rosendale Café on January 9.
Formed in 2012, the foursome features Hope on lead vocals and guitar, Matt “the Knife” Goldpaugh on upright bass, Dave Tetreault on drums, and Chris Heitzman on lead guitar.
Here’s the band in the same town for another occasion, last summer’s Rosendale Street Festival:
Lara Hope & the Ark-Tones will perform at the Rosendale Café in Rosendale, New York, on January 9 at 8pm. Admission is $10. For more information, call (845) 658-9048 or visit http://www.rosendalecafe.com/.
