For all of its about warm and fuzzy lip service about doing well upon your fellow man, the holiday season can certainly bring out the worst in humanity: Witness the every-mom-for-herself riots that come with the annual onslaught of Black Friday. But at the same time the period does of course bring some admirable activities. One of these is Foodstock, an annual benefit concert, now in its seventh run, that this year will feature local folk rock phenomenon the Felice Brothers and take place at the Chance Theater on November 22.
The event raises funds for the Food Bank of the Hudson Valley and the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie. In addition to the headliners, Foodstock 7 will star Kristen Capolino, SIRSY, the Adam Ezra Group, and Snaphammer.
In this video, the Felice Brothers play “Meadow of a Dream” earlier this year:
Foodstock 7 happens at the Chance Theater in Poughkeepsie on November 22 at 6pm. Tickets are $20. For tickets and information, call (845) 471-1966 or visit http://thechancetheater.com/.
