Cider tastings, building tours, and a day filled with the people and operations that allow Sundog Ciders come to life. Jody Rael, owner of Sundog Solar, Solaqua Power & Art, and Kling Magnetics, invites the public to tour the solar powered building that brings Sundog Ciders to life.
Using 100% New York State apples, while adding 6% alcohol, these ciders gracefully pair the event that presents the opportunity to indulge in the fall festive drink while learning about the carbon neutral building that delivers our delicious beverage.
The Sundog Solar building prior was the Colombia Box Mill, an energy wasting building built in the 1950’s, and now has transformed into a net-positive, energy producing, carbon neutral facility with the use of multiple renewable energy and energy efficiency measures.
Sundog Cider opens it’s doors on October 25 from 1 to 5 pm for a Solar Cider Tour. Sundog Cider is located 343 Route 295 in Chatham. To learn more about the company please visit http://www.sundogcider.com/.
