Last week, ending a trial that had dragged on much longer than expected, Judge John Meyer concluded that the Encinitas yoga program is not religious in nature and can continue serving the district's 5,600 students. Although the verdict will likely be repealed, this is as much a victory for yoga as it is for the kids. Perhaps it will pave the way for similar programs to bring positivity and empowerment to children while stimulating them physically and emotionally. Go, Encinitas. Go, yoga. Go, kids!
