The Shawangunk Wine Trail hosts its 18th annual wine showcase at Whitecliff Vineyard in Gardiner on July 27 and July 28 (12 to 5 p.m. both days). The Shawangunk Trail is an alliance of 14 wineries in Orange and Ulster Counties. For Bounty of the Hudson, over 20 wineries will be pouring, pairing tastings with food from Gardiner's Full Moon Farm, Brykill Farm, and Kiernan Farm. There will be music by the Michael Hollis Quintet and a wide variety of vendors will offer artisanal items for sale. Whitecliff Vineyard, a family-owned, 26-acre winery located at the base of the Shawangunk Mountains, won "Double Gold" and "Best White in Show" at the 2010 San Francisco International Wine Competition for their 2009 Riesling.
